Most of these policies were criticised from
the Left, yet didn't provoke weekly protests and violence on the
streets like we see now. The justification we keep hearing for the
violence is that the protesters were angry. Did none of this rile your
anger in the past 13 years? I have deliberately only included articles
from the BBC, leftwards.
First off, we'll start with the issue in
hand, tuition fees. Labour's manifesto promise 'We will not introduce
'top-up' fees and have legislated to prevent them'. The repayments under
Labour's legislation
also start at lower levels of income so poorer graduates lose out. But
this was a Labour government so we had orderly protests with numbers
sparse. In 2010 - SMASH UP LONDON! HANG THE CONDEMS!
